early morning in the kitchen avec ce chat, a feliscatus beauty

It was a chilly autumn morning here at home (April 2019), the warm sunlight pushing its way into the kitchen, being kind to us through the north facing windows as I relaxed with my morning coffee & toast.  I love the northern sun in winter warming us & this magnificent land Australia.

This is what I see sitting at the kitchen island bench . . . requirements of the household, kitchenware, some used, some not, hanging from the large pot rack.  I love being in the kitchen area despite it still not being finished. Yep, still not done. Ugh!  But, finished or not, I use & enjoy it.

And of course its not unusual that I share crumbs & toasty bits with my delightful Hatticus Finch (Hattie), my newest feliscatus seen here. Without fail, every morning, she joins me for her daily breakfast rations.  This little chocolate frog, born on 9 November 2018, joined us in January 2019.  The following area few shots from her early days back then. She’s the prettiest little brown Burmese … in my mind 🙂  Check out my Instagram for more.  The brown tortie you see is darling Edith.

Usually, you’ll find me listening to Public Radio AM in the mornings. That way I’m more or less up to date with the latest news cycle.

This week has been of more interest than usual as we, the public, the voters, the constituents, the good ‘ole down-home Aussies, must attend, perhaps endure is a better word, the numerous political autopsies conducted on the body of the national election of last Saturday.  Whew!

Looking for some sturdy black ‘S’ hooks, preferably the same size & suitable for hanging this assortment of kitchen needfuls.  Right now I’m using an mix of hooks of various shapes, sizes, colours & strength. Surfing the net one finds various versions of black ‘S’ hooks.  Just a matter of some discernment on my part …
